Generaland

These general terms and conditions govern the use of the AJLM bvba - Skateworld website, with company number BE0472.635.468, with its registered office: Ondernemingenweg 1, 3001 Heverlee, Belgium, hereinafter referred to as Skateworld.

Our general terms and conditions always apply when making a reservation or purchasing tickets, or reserving ice for training, competitions or events (e.g. fun hockey, birthday parties or others).

Every order via our website involves a payment obligation.

Our website was created by Skateworld and is maintained by Skateworld.
Our customers may view all available information free of charge and print it free of charge for their own use, but never for commercial purposes.

By placing an order or reservation via our website, the user agrees to these general terms and conditions. These are always available on our website. By placing an order or reservation, the customer declares himself commercially competent.

We advise minors to always be assisted by an adult or their legal guardian.

Orders are always assumed to be for non-professional purposes.

We recommend that professional customers contact us via info@skateworld.be for more information.

We reserve the right to change or adapt these general terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice to changing circumstances or legal provisions. If one or more parts of these conditions are not in accordance with current legislation, all other parts that are not subject to this legislation will continue to apply.

Only Belgian law applies to everything that does not fall within these general terms and conditions. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of Leuven have jurisdiction.

The language for all orders or reservations is Dutch. If desired, the customer can always contact Skateworld via info@skateworld.be. We will always do our utmost to help you in another language. Only the Dutch version of these general terms and conditions is binding, any translations are purely informative. The website also applies that only the Dutch version is completely correct. Any translations here are also purely informative.

Customers can always reach us using the contact form found on our website or by sending an email to info@skateworld.be. We always do our best to answer your question within 24 hours.

 

Accidents, damagesinsurance

Our activities have a sporty karakter and participation in our activities happens always at your own risk. The customer always decides whether he/she participates in the activities. Skateworld does everything possible to ensure the safest possible environment. Skateworld is in no way liable for damage, loss or theft to property or damage to persons (participants or third parties). Skateworld has liability insurance in case Skateworld is held liable due to negligence for any damage suffered to goods or persons. Any injuries resulting from your participation are covered by your normal health insurance and you are protected against any damage to property or persons through your 'family' insurance.

Orders or reservationsies places

Orders or reservations can only be placed via the Skateworld website. Orders or reservations cannot be placed by telephone.

All orders are assumed to be for non-professional purposes.

Orders will only be accepted after providing the necessary identification details, and while supplies last. The customer is fully responsible for the correctness of dthe identification data provided by him/her (including telephone number, postal address, e-mail address, VAT or company number).

The customer is expected to complete the entire sales or reservation process on the website, as well as the (possible) payment process. In all cases, the customer will be asked to agree to the general terms and conditions and can always consult them on the website.

Purchasing tickets or other products and making a reservation means that you agree to the general terms and conditions as they can be found on the website. After payment, the customer will receive a confirmation email from Skateworld, at the email address provided by the customer. The customer is responsible for the correctness of the data provided. The person on whose behalf the reservation is made will be considered solely responsible for this reservation and its payment.

Delivery fromn the order

The delivery of the orderling is always done electronically, unless specifically indicated otherwise on the website. The customer will receive an email from met the purchase and admission ticket to the specified email address. Responsibility for sending via e-mail passes to the customer from the moment of delivery of the e-mail to the customer's provider. The customer is responsible for the security of the e-mail program used.

If the customer has not received an email, the customer can contact Skateworld via info@skateworld.be, or via the contact form on the website. If the customer does not have a printer or smartphone available, a personal identification document and the order number, which can be found on the proof of purchase, are sufficient. Only the person in whose name the reservation was made can gain access to the ice rink. Only possession of a valid admission ticket or a reservation code gives you access to the ice rink and any rented equipment.

The delivery period only starts from the moment of receipt of payment. We always try to keep the delivery period as short as possible, but it will be a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 30 days. Skateworld is not responsible for any delays caused by the transport company.

Each admission ticket, purchase receipt or reservation code can only be used once, unless explicitly stated otherwise. It is not permitted to pass on, duplicate or imitate admission tickets, purchase receipts or reservation codes in any way.

Tarieven

Individual rates

Individual tickets are only valid on the day of purchase, and only during the public skating event for which they were purchased.

It is not possible to leave the ice rink during a skating session.

When purchasing admission tickets that reserve a place for a specific skating session or ice rental, the customer does not have a right of withdrawal. Each purchase is only valid on the date and time chosen by the customer. Trade-in or exchange to another time is not possible.

Group rates

All group rates are only valid after reservation. Group rates are possible from 15 people. Group reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Only institutions are exempt from these conditions. They must bring identification from the institution.

Promotions and benefits formulalesson

Promotions and benefit formulas can never be combined or extended after the date stated on the discount voucher. If the customer pays with a discount voucher (of any form), the value of which is greater than the total of the order for which the voucher is used, no form of refund of the difference is possible. Discount vouchers can only be used once.

Gift cards

Skate rental is included in the price. Vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and can be used during all public skating events, including Disco skating events.

Vouchers are not name-related. There is no replacement or refund for loss or theft. Gift vouchers will not be sent. These can only be picked up.

The order confirmation sent by email to the email address provided by the customer is not valid as an admission ticket.

For gift vouchers, the customer has a right of withdrawal of a maximum of 14 days, which commences after receipt of the vouchers, be it in digital or physical form. If you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal, it is sufficient to contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail to info@skateworld.be. This message must contain at least the following:

  1. Clearly state that you want to use the right of withdrawal.

  2. Description of the items purchased.

  3. A copy of the proof of purchase.

  4. The email address used during the purchase.

  5. Indication of the account number (BIC & IBAN) on which any refund must be made.

The customer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal if the products have already been fully or partially used. The customer accepts that the right of withdrawal expires due to any use.

 

10 Turn cards

10-turn tickets are valid indefinitely and are not name-related. These are valid during all public skating events. There is no possibility of replacement in the event of damage, loss or theft of the card. The 10-turn tickets never include skate rental.

Payments

The prices stated on the website always include VAT, with the exception of intra-community shipments to VAT payers abroad, for which a VAT rate of 0% applies. The customer is responsible for the correctness of the VAT number provided.

If the customer pays with a discount voucher (of any form), the value of which is greater than the total of the order for which the voucher is used, no form of refund of the difference is possible.

Professional customers who wish to pay by invoice can always let us know by sending an email to info@skateworld.be or can indicate this within the reservation module on the website.

Right of withdrawal

When purchasing admission tickets that reserve a place for a specific skating session or ice rental, the customer does not have a right of withdrawal. Each purchase is only valid on the date and time chosen by the customer. Trade-in or exchange to another time is not possible.

For gift vouchers, the customer has a right of withdrawal of a maximum of 14 days, which commences after receipt of the vouchers, be it in digital or physical form. If you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal, it is sufficient to contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail to the address info@skateworld.be. This message must contain at least the following:

  1. Clearly state that you want to use the right of withdrawal

  2. Description of the items purchased

  3. A copy of the proof of purchase

  4. The email address used during the purchase

  5. Indication of the account number (BIC & IBAN) on which any refund must be made

If it concerns physical products, the customer must return them to us (at his own expense) in the same condition as he received them. We reserve the right not to partially refund returned products if the packaging has been opened or damaged in a way that goes beyond checking the contents. If necessary, we will wait with refunds until all affected products are back in our possession.

The customer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal if the products have already been fully or only partially used. The customer accepts that the right of withdrawal expires due to any use.

Rent ice cream

Reservations for ice rental can only be made via the website or by email to info@skateworld.be. Ice is rented in order of reservation. Under no circumstances will ice rentals be refunded, credited or adjusted after payment.

Rates are per hour and include 50 minutes of effective ice time and 10 minutes of ice mop.

If, beyond our control, the ice mop lasts longer than the anticipated time, the customer is not entitled to stay on the ice longer than the rented ice period. This is always discussed and arranged with the responsible ice master.

Ice mopping: 1 ice mop is included per reservation. From 3 consecutive hours, an ice mop every 60 minutes can be requested and is included in the price. If you want to mop more ice, an extra ice mop will be charged at € 30.00 per time.

Reservations are granted in the following order of importance:

  1. Public skating

  2. Events

  3. Clubs located in Leuven:

    1. Youth

    2. Seniors

    3. Recreationalists

  4. Existing customers

  5. Extra hours for existing customers

  6. New customers

Skateworld reserves the right to change, modify or cancel all reservations for specific events that require specific ice periods, in order to make maximum use of our infrastructure. This may result in moving, changing or canceling your planned ice periods in order to best serve the general customer base.

We plan up to 12 months into the future and need flexibility to adjust our planning to accommodate tournaments, figure skating competitions or special events. Skateworld will never provide less than 14 days' notice of updates or changes to the schedule.

Skateworld will always do its best to limit the number of special events, but sometimes there are options that are important for Skateworld's turnover. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and do our best to limit this for all parties involved.

All competitions and training must be completed at the end of the rented ice period. All teams, skaters and materials used must be removed from the ice by the end of the rental period. It is expected that all used materials will be put back in place by the users.

The person in whose name the reservation is made is responsible for leaving the changing rooms and materials used in good condition. All costs caused by the users of this reservation will be recovered from the responsible person.

Ice rental does not include equipment. This must always be requested and paid separately.

(Professional) customers are not allowed to offer services that are already available, such as sharpening skates.

For any information you can contact us by email at info@skateworld.be. Proof of identification is always requested as a guarantee for the rented materials.

If the material is not returned complete or damaged, the costs will be recovered from the user.

Payment terms for ice rental

  • Unless specifically stated or agreed otherwise, an advance payment of at least 30% of the total price is always requested, with a minimum of € 30.00. A deposit is not refundable in the event of cancellation, even if it falls within the cancellation period.

  • Professional customers who wish to pay by invoice can always let us know by sending an email to info@skateworld.be or can indicate this within the reservation module on the website.

 

Cancellation policy for ice rental

  • If the booking consists of more than 20 hours in 1 month, there is a cancellation period of 120 days.

  • If the booking consists of more than 5 hours in 1 month, but less than 20, there is a cancellation period of 90 days.

  • If the booking consists of less than 5 hours in 1 month, there is a cancellation period of 60 days.

This means that cancellation is only possible if there are more days (than the specified number) between the date of the reserved ice period and the date of cancellation. If there are fewer days in between, cancellation is no longer possible. All cancellations must be communicated via email to info@skateworld.be. There is no cancellation if you do not receive confirmation from Skateworld via email.

The cancellation fee within the permitted period is always 30% of the total ice rental, plus € 30.00 per canceled hour of ice for missed sales in the catering area. Outside the permitted period, the cancellation fee amounts to 100% of the total ice rental, plus €50.00 per canceled hour of ice cream for missed sales in the catering area.

Rent a room

Reservations for the room can only be made via the website or by email to info@skateworld.be. The room is rented in the order of reservation. Under no circumstances will sums already paid be refunded, credited or adjusted after payment. Rates are per hour. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Reservations are granted in the following order of importance:

  1. Events

  2. Clubs located in Leuven:

    1. Youth

    2. Seniors

    3. Recreationalists

  3. Existing customers

  4. Extra hours for existing customers

  5. New customers

Skateworld reserves the right to change, modify or cancel all reservations for specific events that require specific periods in order to make maximum use of our infrastructure. This may require moving, changing or canceling your scheduled periods in order to best serve the overall customer base.

The room must be completely vacated and tidy by the end of the rented period. It is expected that all used materials will be put back in place by the users.

The person in whose name the reservation is made is responsible for leaving the materials used in good condition. All costs caused by the users of this reservation will be recovered from the responsible person.

If the material is not returned complete or damaged, the costs will be recovered from the user.

Payment terms for room rental

Room cancellation policy

  • If the booking consists of more than 5 hours in 1 month, but less than 20, there is a cancellation period of 15 days.

  • If the booking consists of less than 5 hours in 1 month, there is a cancellation period of 5 days.

This means that cancellation is only possible if there are more days (than the specified number) between the date of the reserved period and the date of cancellation. If there are fewer days in between, cancellation is no longer possible. All cancellations must be communicated via email to info@skateworld.be. There is no cancellation if you do not receive confirmation from Skateworld via email.

Fun hockey & Fun Soccer

Participating in fun hockey or fun soccer is entirely at your own risk. The ice rink or its operators are not responsible for any physical or material damage.

Everyone must be present at least 40 minutes before the start of the fun hockey. In the event of a delay due to the customer's late arrival, the end time remains unchanged and the activity is therefore shortened without a change in price.

The seller has the right to charge for any damage caused by the customer's error.

Payment conditions in connection with fun hockey or fun soccer

  • The advance must be paid immediately, online. The customer also has the option to pay the full amount immediately upon reservation via the online reservation system.

  • There will be no reservation without payment of at least the deposit. The customer will automatically receive confirmation of the reservation via email to the address specified by the customer. The customer is responsible for the correctness of the email address provided.

  • The balance of the activity must be paid on the day itself at the cash register in the cafeteria. This can be done with cash or with bancontact or Maestro or Visa.

  • Professional customers who wish to pay by invoice can always let us know by sending an email to info@skateworld.be or can indicate this within the reservation module on the website.

 

Cancellation conditions for Funhockey or Funsoccer

  • If you cancel a reservation within 7 calendar days after reservation, your deposit will be refunded if there are at least 21 calendar days between the date of cancellation and the date of your planned activity.

  • If you cancel a reservation later than 7 calendar days after reservation, and there are at least 21 calendar days between the date of cancellation and the date of your activity, the advance payment is sufficient as a cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel a reservation later than 7 calendar days after reservation, and there are less than 21 calendar days between the date of cancellation and the date of your activity, the cancellation fee is € 250.00.

 

Patches

Discounts are calculated automatically. Orders must be paid online immediately.

Cancellations are not possible. Relocations are only possible in consultation with the ice rink and must be requested at least 72 hours in advance by email to info@skateworld.be, and are only possible if the original patch is not full. You can reserve a place at the time, provided immediate payment is made. Reservations can be made via the website up to 1 hour before the start of the patch.

All skaters must register at the box office before entering the ice.

Safetyeid

Safety is very important to Skateworld. That is why we ask that all skaters leave the ice at the end of the rented ice period or the public skating session. When the ice machine gate opens, all equipment must be removed from ice and put back into place by the users. All skaters must also leave the ice rink at that time. An audible signal will be used to indicate the end of the ice period.

Customers must at all times adhere to Skateworld's internal regulations. This is available on the website and in the entrance hall of Skateworld. The instructions of Skateworld staff must be followed at all times.

Website

Skateworld pays a lot of attention to its website, but cannot be held responsible for any problems caused by the use of this website. All possible precautions are taken to prevent the user of the website from experiencing any inconvenience.

Skateworld cannot be held responsible for any viruses placed on our website by third parties, even if they cause damage to the medium through which the user visits the website. The user is responsible for protecting the medium used to visit the website, such as anti-virus software or a firewall.

The user of the website is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his or her user data. If abuse is discovered, you can send an email to info@skateworld.beAlways report this. Skateworld will then do its best to determine the cause and resolve it.

Skateworld pays a lot of attention to the correctness of the published data, but cannot guarantee that it is complete, exact and reliable, or that it is completely up to date.
